The itinerary includes 3 nights in Gangtok, 2 nights in Pelling, and 2 nights in Darjeeling. While most sightseeing is planned during the day, the Tiger Hill sunrise excursion requires an early start. The transfers between destinations are also longer mountain journeys, so some travel days involve several hours on the road.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok

Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, where you will be met and assisted before beginning the approximately 120 km drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.

On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Overnight Stay: Gangtok

Day 2:Changu Lake and Baba Mandir Excursion

Head out for a scenic excursion to Changu Lake, situated at approximately 12,312 feet, followed by Baba Mandir, at around 13,200 feet.

The excursion is generally scheduled from around 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. An optional Nathula Pass excursion can also be arranged at an additional cost of ₹4,500 per cab, subject to permit availability and required documentation. Nathula Pass is available only to Indian nationals and is generally closed on Mondays.

Return to Gangtok after the day’s sightseeing.

Day 3: Gangtok Local Sightseeing

Explore Gangtok’s natural, cultural, and religious attractions, including Banjhakri Falls or Bhakthang Falls, Gonjang Monastery, Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Dro-dul Chorten, and the Institute of Tibetology.

After sightseeing, return to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 4:Gangtok to Pelling via Namchi

Check out from your Gangtok hotel and drive towards Pelling via Namchi in South Sikkim.

En route, visit the Char Dham complex, known for its replicas of India’s four principal pilgrimage shrines. Continue the scenic mountain journey to Pelling, with arrival expected later in the evening.

Day 5 Pelling Sightseeing

Discover Pelling’s scenic, cultural, and heritage attractions, beginning with the Chenrezig Statue and Skywalk. Continue to Orange Garden, Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake, Pemayangtse Monastery, Bird Park, and Rabdentse Palace Ruins.

Return to the hotel after sightseeing and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 6: Pelling to Darjeeling

Check out and begin the approximately 80 km drive to Darjeeling, with scenic views of the Rangeet River Valley along the way.

On reaching Darjeeling, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

An optional Darjeeling Toy Train Joy Ride can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to ticket availability.

Day 7: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Start early, around 4:00 AM, for Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.

Continue with Darjeeling sightseeing after returning to the hotel, covering the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, Tea Garden viewpoint, Japanese Temple, and Peace Pagoda.

The sightseeing sequence may be adjusted depending on weekly closure days at individual attractions.

Return to the hotel and enjoy a free evening.
