There is no single best month for everyone. December to February is summer and is popular for outdoor activities and warmer weather, while March to May brings milder temperatures and generally fewer crowds. June to August is the main winter season and is particularly popular for skiing around Queenstown. September to November is spring, with changing weather and fewer visitors in many places. New Zealand’s official tourism website also notes that the country can be visited year-round.
Indian passport holders travelling to New Zealand for tourism generally need to apply for a New Zealand Visitor Visa before travelling. Visa requirements can vary based on your passport and circumstances, so check the latest requirements on the official Immigration New Zealand website before making your travel arrangements.
